Many of our guests stay at The Inn at Leola Village because they appreciate the unique lodging we provide and they want to explore the back roads of Lancaster County and personally experience the authentic sights and sounds of our Amish neighbors.
And while there are dozens of special, out of the way distinctive Amish shops, farms and roadside markets, we have outlined a few of our favorites. We did not highlight the major Amish tourist attractions, crowded with bus loads of visitors; instead we focused upon the smaller family operated businesses.
Also, most of the Amish businesses listed below are closed on Sundays and be sure to check their specific operating hours, since they vary throughout the year.
Hopefully you will come, stay at our historic Inn and visit these fine families and support their efforts.

Millers Natural Foods
2888 Miller Ln Bird in Hand, PA 17505
We really love this store for a number of reasons; it's got a unique 'Amish' aspect to it, it's situated next to the family household / farm and it's run and caters to the Amish, even though everyone is welcome. Millers has a wide variety of healthy foods, including organic, gluten free, and other varieties. as well as other homeopathic remedies. We love that they have local honeys, cheese and other dairy products and quite surprised to find Fenugreek in their spice aisle, since Wegman's didn't.
You will find this place is very charming and for people that enjoy the idea of doing good for ourselves and the environment (by choosing natural/organic over chemical laden products) or people that that want to rub elbows with the Amish, this is a great experience.
